Can The Yorkshire Country Gardener really save me thousands?

If you’ve ever had a quote for a landscape gardening company to transform your garden, it will have been in the tens of thousands. The design, preparation, materials and labour all add up! In our opinion, this is money well-invested. Just as you would spend a good chunk of money building an extension, landscaping your garden can incur similar costs. However we are understanding that this is unachievable for a lot of people, which means they unfortunately miss out from having their garden transformed.

By paying only for the design and planning of your new garden and buying your plants as you go, you can really save thousands by doing the labour yourself. It’s not hard if you know what you’re doing, and with our design plans and manuals that we offer in our various packages, you are well-equipped to enrol your family or friends and begin the transformation yourself. If not, then hand your plans to a local labourer who can do it for you!

What is the Yorkshire Country Gardeners’ ethos?

The pandemic has made us all realise how much we value our green spaces, and just how much a garden can positively affect our mental health. That is why we at The Yorkshire Country Gardener want to make a beautiful garden achievable for all. A big chunk of the cost for a garden transformation comes from the design and planning of your new garden; we set our prices much lower than the competition as we simply love what we do! By giving you the tools to transform your garden yourself or getting local tradesman to do specific areas in your own time, you can save a small fortune.

How long does it take to landscape a garden?

Once you have all of the designs and plans and you’re ready to put a spade in the ground, transforming your garden can take anywhere from a few days to 6 months depending on the size of your garden and how many people you have to help you. If you hand your plans to a local tradesman, they could have it done within a week!

Do you really give everything I need to landscape my garden?

With our Wisteria design package, we list everything you need with likely costs and a step-by-step garden manual to turn your current garden into the garden in your preferred design. We love the detail, so we really do make it fail-safe. When discussing your flower beds, we’ll tell you what size and dimensions to mark your flower bed out, how to dig out the grass, how far to dig down, how much compost/grit to dig into the soil etc. We’ll even explain how to erect fences and lay a patio if this applicable to your design! We really believe that if you have the right knowledge and guidance, you can achieve anything in your garden. If there is anything you feel we have missed out (it hasn’t happened yet), then we are only a phone call or an email away!

What if I change my mind after my Initial Visit?

We all change our minds, it’s human nature! If we’re not too far along with your designs then we are very accommodating, but the sooner we know the better. If we have almost finished your designs and plans then this may be a little tricky, but get in touch anyway and let’s see what we can do.
